3 of Canada’s Best Hot Springs

3 of Canada’s Best Hot Springs

Swimming might be the last thing on your mind when the weather is cold, but if you check out the following hot springs, we’re sure you won’t be able to resist jumping in.

Ahousat Hot Springs
The Ahousat Hot Springs can be found on the shores of Matilda Inlet, on the south side of Flores Island, in Gibson Marine Provincial Park. The natural spring flows up into a concrete tank and is clear and tasteless with a maximum temperature of 25°C. From the springs, visitors can also access the beaches of nearby Whitesand Cove via a historic and non-maintained natural route. Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is permitted around the springs. Source: TheCultureTrip

Radium Hot Springs
Canada’s biggest hot spring pool sits in Kootenay National Park and is very popular with road-trippers who come to enjoy the mountain views and the 27C swimming pool. The hot pool ranges from 37C to 40C and contains odourless minerals like calcium and silica. There’s also an onsite café, walking trails as well as a day spa in case you want to indulge in a massage after your soak. Source: TheLoop

Lussier Hot Springs
One trip to Lussier Hot Springs in B.C.’s Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park is never enough. These springs, in the heart of the Kootenays, sit feet from the chilly waters of the Lussier River. The hotter pool hovers around 43 degrees Celsius while the cooler pool is 34 degrees. These hot springs aren’t developed like many others across the country. The road is rugged, there are no changing rooms, and you’ll have to walk five minutes from the parking lot to the rock-surrounded, natural pools, but that’s what makes this place so special.

Lussier Hot Springs has become more popular in recent years, but the off-the-beaten-path adventure keeps many tourists at bay. Free admission is another perk. Source: HuffingtonPost
